About Senior Gear Hub
Expert buying guides and honest product reviews to help seniors and their families make confident, safe choices.
Our Mission
Senior Gear Hub exists to cut through the noise. There are hundreds of grab bars, walkers, blood pressure monitors, and kitchen aids on the market — and most product listings tell you very little about how they actually perform for someone over 65.
We research, compare, and evaluate products with one question in mind: Does this genuinely help seniors live more safely and independently?
Who We Are
Senior Gear Hub is operated by a small editorial team with backgrounds in occupational therapy consulting, consumer product research, and senior care. We do not represent any brand or manufacturer. Our recommendations are our own.
We consult with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and geriatric care specialists to make sure our guidance reflects real clinical expertise — not just spec-sheet comparisons.
How We Evaluate Products
Every product we recommend has been evaluated through one or more of the following methods:
- Hands-on testing by our editorial team and consultant testers aged 60–85
- Expert review by occupational or physical therapists
- Verified data analysis using manufacturer specs, ADA standards, and independent safety certifications
- User research drawing on reviews, caregiver forums, and senior community feedback
We update our recommendations regularly as new products are released and existing ones are revised.
Our Editorial Independence
Senior Gear Hub participates in affiliate programs, including the Amazon Associates program. This means we may earn a small commission when you purchase through our links — at no additional cost to you.
We do not accept payment for positive coverage. Our editorial recommendations are based entirely on merit. No brand pays to appear in our guides. See our full disclosure page for details.
Our Commitment to Accessibility
Our audience includes many readers who benefit from larger text, high contrast, and screen reader support. We are committed to meeting WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards across the entire site. See our Accessibility Statement for details.
